Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the installation take?
Most full vehicle tints are completed in around 2–4 hours, depending on the size of the vehicle and how many windows are being done. Larger vehicles, fleet jobs, ceramic coating or PPF work can take longer — we’ll give you an accurate time frame when you book.
Does window tinting interfere with GPS signals?
No. We use premium non-metallic ceramic films, so they won’t interfere with your GPS, mobile reception, radio or other electronics the way older metallic tints can — you get the heat and UV protection with no signal loss.
Can I roll down my windows immediately after tinting?
Not straight away. Please keep your windows up for at least 3–4 days (a little longer in cooler or humid weather) so the film can fully cure and bond to the glass. Slight haze or small water bubbles during this period are normal and clear as it dries.
What darkness level is legal in my state?
In NSW, front side windows must allow at least 35% of light through (VLT) and rear side and back windows at least 20%. The windscreen can’t be tinted apart from a strip across the top, above the wiper line. Other states and territories differ — if you’re outside NSW, let us know and we’ll keep your tint fully road-legal.
Does MH Window Tinting offer a mobile service?
Most jobs are completed at our South Granville workshop, where a clean, dust-controlled space gives the best possible finish. For fleets or commercial vehicles we can discuss on-site options — get in touch and we’ll arrange whatever is most convenient for you.
